Banjo Sounds

Sloppy backyard,
great for banjo practice.
 

People hear him and smile.
But he doesn't.
He keeps a straight face
And strums along,
To a beat of his own creation.
 

His music spreads
Through his listeners ears

Into their hearts,
through the forest,
Into the trees
And the grass. Even into the souls
of the little rabbits
and the squirrels.
They base their every movement
On his sounds.
