WHO WE ARE
Westwood is Story
Story is a trick
with wild hand gestures.
Story is a song,
and a collection
of peoples' imagination.
It's a pulverized branch
from an endless tree.
Story is the Magic Man.
Story is sight,
and a powerful thought.
Where two people are content
to discuss the imaginary.
Story is an entity
above the mortal world.
A constellation.
A large glowing star.
A firefly flicker.
Story is the stuff of dreams,
the vivacious swirls
of serenity and passion,
blended together
to form an unbreakable
chemical bond.
Story requires a voice.
Stories are secrets
to break the silence.
Story is shared amongst whispers
with golden honey.
Story is the vastness
of outer space.

Our Story
Here before you is our literary magazine, Westwood. This project is a collaborative literary extravaganza created and managed by Woodford County High School and West Jessamine High School. Together we have collaborated to bring you a fantastic literary journal. This is our authentic voice.
Thank You
While this magazine may be highly polished now, WestWood has come a long way. Thank you to our schools, Woodford and West Jessamine for providing us with the tools necessary for success. Thank you to the Mac Lab and the WCHS Academy program. Without them, this would be a poorly cut stack of pictures glued to a piece of our finest printer-paper. A special thank you to Middlebury College for their wholesome support and intellectual dough. Additionally, Ms. Benton and Mr. Haughton (our teacher sponsors) would like to thank the Bread Loaf Teacher Network and the C. E. and S. Foundation for all of their amazing support and inspiration.
