Bug Wings

Madison Taylor / West Jessamine

I live in the anther of your orchid, which lives in the window sill.
My name is June, I watch you sometimes. You are a bit
strange. See, I have a satin shell, pearlescent green,
and i remember once I came to see you and all you did was
scream. My eyes are painted with butterscotch jewels,
but yours.. a deep violet that dart when they duel.
Sometimes, they sprinkle, a lot of times they pour.
You never seem happy anymore, and that anger makes
my house quake when you pace the floor. But sweet sugar pie,
this Rain shall pass this ache will fade, remember me,
dear June, for i was the only one who truly knew your Pain.
