I Am from Everywhere

 

I am from God,

From Earth,

From my Mom and Dad,

From white and black,

I am from many ancestors.

      

I am from Haiti,

From eating griot with pikliz,(1)

From beautiful beaches,

I am from art and music.

 

I am from happiness and sadness,

I am from love,

I am from a broken heart,

I am from my world,

I am from living my life,

Everywhere I am.
