Welcome to WestWood’s first Spotlight Issue: The Many Faces of Haiti.

For this edition of our literary magazine, we have accepted work from two very special schools in Haiti,  Bridge Academy and Collège Classique Féminin. A few of these pieces were written in Haitian Creole or French and translated into English. Some of them started as classroom assignments, college essays, I am from poems, or individual bursts of creativity. What they have in common (with one another and the rest of this year’s WestWood) is the theme of home.So wherever you happen to live, we hope you enjoy this work and join us in a celebration of art, writing and literature. A special thank you to Chantal Kenol and Jenny Elie, members of the Bread Loaf Teacher Network, and teacher sponsors for this issue.
