Jellyfish

Maddie McCullar

They float upward gently,

Beautiful but deadly,

Fingers tap on the glass,

Leaving their identity behind,

Glowing colors fill the cool water.

Isolated in silence,

They wait for attention.

Mushroom tops

And dreadlock legs

Attract visitors from all around.

Their orange bursting colors

Radiate through the tank.

Up all night and day,

A never ending drift in the water,

Floating soundlessly,

Another day waits.
