Lost Magic

Maggie Sunseri

I drew you a picture,

Put crayons to the wall,

You raised a chastising finger,

But no punishment did befall.

Your house was made of magic,

And a passage to far-away lands,

Worn out from adventures,

You carried me with loving hands.

Everything changed when you left,

The magic just not the same,

I think you took the adventure with you,

And I think it's quite a shame.
